The Morgan State Bears won for the fourth-straight time against the Coppin State Eagles, winning the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference contest 82-77 Monday night at Coppin’s Physical Education Complex, in Baltimore, Md.

Morgan improved to 9-13 overall and 7-3 in the conference, while Coppin fell to 9-15 and 6-5.

Morgan State had balanced scoring, led by senior center Ian Chiles and senior guard Justin Black, who scored 23 points each, and senior guard Anthony Hubbard’s 15. Senior forward Michael Murray led Coppin with 21. Junior guard Taariq Cephas added 17 for the Eagles.

The game did resume, with Morgan State taking a 44-36 lead into intermission, shooting 58-percent from the field (18-for-31). The Bears were up by 22-11 with 11:33 left in the half. Coppin led once, 32-31, with 5:24 left in the half.
