The Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns agreed to a three-team trade on Thursday that sent guard Austin Rivers to play for his father in Los Angeles.
Rivers joins the Clippers, a team coached by Doc Rivers, and will become the first son to play for his father in NBA history.
The deal included guard Reggie Bullock going from the Clippers to the Suns, forward Shavlik Randolph moving from the Suns to the Celtics and Boston also getting guard Chris Douglas-Roberts and a future second-round draft pick from the Clippers.
—Charlotte Hornets guard-forward P.J. Hairston was fined $5,000 by the NBA on Thursday for a second flopping violation this season.

Hairston previously received a warning for flopping in a Nov. 28 game against the Golden State Warriors.
—The Golden State Warriors sent center Ognjen Kuzmic back to Santa Cruz of the NBA Development League on Thursday.
Kuzmic will be available for the Warriors’ D-League game on Thursday night against the Canton Charge in Santa Cruz. The 7-footer was called up a day earlier by Golden State from Santa Cruz for its game against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
