Senior guard Deshawn Delaney scored 15 points to help New Mexico beat San Jose State 67-41 on Saturday evening at The Pit in Albuquerque, N.M.

Freshman guard Sam Logwood had 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals for New Mexico (14-7, 6-3 Mountain West), which shot 46.2 percent from the field and amassed a 43-23 rebounding advantage.

Sophomore guard Rashad Muhammad scored 15 points for San Jose State (2-19, 0-9), which has lost 11 in a row. Senior forward Jaleel Williams had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

New Mexico started the game with a 12-0 run and took a 21-4 lead on a 3-pointer by freshman guard Xavier Adams with 10:33 to play in the opening period.

The Lobos extended their lead to 29-10 on a 3-pointer by Delaney with 5:49 to go in the half.

Sophomore forward Brandon Mitchell made a 3-pointer for San Jose State just before the halftime buzzer, but New Mexico still led 31-15 at the break.

The Lobos extended their lead to 36-15 early in the second half. They went up 49-25 on a layup by sophomore center Obij Aget with 11:58 to go and extended their lead to 28 points in the final minutes.
