The Funny, Stupid Thing of the Day
Many fans like to make fun of Shaq for being the clown of the Inside the NBA crew on TNT. When he’s tripping over trash cans like this, it’s easy to see why. But, if he’s getting laughs, isn’t that the job? Just another reason why Shaq has the best job in the business.
Honoring Dr. Jack
Sadly, Dr. Jack Ramsay passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. The Blazers honored the Hall of Fame coach with this great tribute. The Blazers also sent the legend out with an overtime victory, which would’ve made Jack smile.
YouTube of the Night
Showing support for the Clippers players and taking a stand against Clippers owner Donald Sterling, the HEAT followed the Clippers’ example of wearing their warm-ups inside out and leaving their shirts at center court. Very cool to see NBA players past and present come together to voice their opinion on this issue. We do feel sorry for the ball boy getting told what’s up by LeBron as he tries to do his job by picking up their warm-ups.
Highlight Mix of the Day
While extremely dangerous, was there anything more exciting than an NBA player shattering the backboard back in the day? Check out this great mix of some of the best.
Dunk of the Night
We’re a little bit late on this, but this is so hilarious it deserves a shout-out. Grizzlies guard Tony Allen pulls the “fake injury” veteran move against the Thunder as he conveniently recovers from hurting his ankle to cherry-picking this dunk. This is the perfect reason why veteran teams win championships; taking points by hook or by crook.
Trailer of the Day
NBA legend Allen Iverson has a new documentary “Iverson” coming out soon featuring his many highs and many lows. For you Iverson lovers and basketball fans in general, this looks like a must-see.
Instagram of the Day
Fishing is definitely the activity to do if your season is over as an NBA player. Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony took it a step further by hooking a shark! Way to document this moment ‘Melo, nobody would have believed you otherwise.
Kicks of the Day
Gerald Henderson and his Bobcats teammates may have had their playoff dreams dashed tonight by the HEAT, but at least he’s rocking some awesome kicks on his way out. Very sweet black and blue Jordan’s honoring his alum Duke.
Swag of the Night
Lou Williams and the Hawks are feeling good after blowing out the Pacers again tonight for a 3-2 series lead. Does Williams’ swag have anything to do with that? Probably not, but nobody can tell Lou he isn’t dressed for success on game day.
