LOGAN, Utah — Utah State put on its best shooting display of the season in a 75-62 victory over Nevada on Tuesday night.

The Aggies shot a season-high 59.5 percent from the field and hit 9-of-16 3-pointers as they pulled away right before halftime and never looked back behind a barrage of 3-point hits.

Four Utah State players hit double figures, led by guard Chris Smith, who scored 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Joining him in double figures were Jalen Moore (17 points on 7-of-9 shooting), David Collette (14 points) and Julion Pearre (12 points).

The Aggies (14-10, 7-5 Mountain West) had just six turnovers and put on an offensive display from start to finish, with Moore scoring the game’s first seven points and his teammates joining in on the fun thereafter.

The Wolf Pack (7-16, 3-8 MW), which lost for the 18th time in 21 games in Logan, were led by guards Eric Cooper Jr. and Tyron Criswell, who scored 14 and 12 points, respectively. Forward AJ West had 10 points and seven rebounds and guard Marqueze Coleman had nine points and a career-best seven assists.

Nevada won the rebounding battle, 33-20, but its poor defensive effort led to the team’s eighth loss in nine games.
