Out of Bounds: History Made
Out of Bounds congratulates Jason Collins for a historic sports moment… A look at some embarrassing moments… Chris Paul wins.
The Funny, Stupid Thing of the Day
The Atlanta Hawks did a re-make of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” to inform fans of the arena’s code of conduct. Not sure we need to bring more attention to Miley than she already has, but this was a creative way to remind Atlanta fans to not break the rules.
Congratulations Jason Collins!
After signing a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets, center Jason Collins became the first openly-gay athlete to play in the four major North American sports. Great moment for Jason, the NBA and sports, as history is made for the better.
‘Gotcha Moment’ of the Night
The Milwaukee Bucks are not well know for their defense as evidence by their 10-45 record. But come on O.J. Mayo, you can at least look! O.J. decided he should tie his shoes rather than attempt to play defense against the Denver Nuggets. That should earn anybody a spot on the bench.
Creepy Moment of the Night
Who knew Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau actually smiled? Who really wants him to do it again after this? His stretched smile and creepy laugh would scare anyone to play their best for him.
Dunk of the Night
Oh. My. Goodness. There was nothing the L.A. Clippers could to stop OKC Thunder star Kevin Durant from doing this. KD’s bounce and length make it so unfair for anybody trying to get in his way.
Commercial of the Day
It must be hard to be a famous NBA star and trying to shop for fresh kicks. Rockets’ James Harden and Foot Locker show the length that he’s willing to go to get his new shoes in peace.
Swag of the Night
L.A. Clippers guard Chris Paul is winning on and off the court. We’re all jealous Chris, so jealous.
Kicks of the Night
These are some pretty awesome Nikes that New York Knicks big man Amar’e Stoudemire has his hands on. These work well on the court and at home so Amar’e is styled no matter what.
Stat Stuffers of the Night
Thunder’s Kevin Durant: 42 points, 10 assists, 3 rebounds in a 125-117 loss to the Clippers.
Kings’ Rudy Gay: 32 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists in a 109-95 win over the Nuggets.
Kings’ Isaiah Thomas: 33 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds in a 109-95 win over the Nuggets.
