No longer an NBA head coach, (Avery) Johnson instead looks at his latest gig as an ESPN studio analyst as an opportunity to coach millions in the finer parts of the game. In advance of Friday’s Spurs-Lakers game, “The Little General” answered a variety of questions on the Spurs, past and present, from Express-News staff writer Dan McCarney.

How are you enjoying TV work compared to coaching?

At the moment, I love what I’m doing coaching millions of people with the opportunity to work with ESPN on all of our shows. Obviously, if a coaching opportunity presents itself then I’ll address that at that time. But I love what I’m doing right now, and that’s what I see myself doing as time wears on.
