Leandro Barbosa Returns to Action for Suns
The bench work was bolstered by the return of Leandro Barbosa, who had missed two games because of a right shoulder sprain. Barbosa played his first game as a Sun at US Airways Center since the 2010 Western Conference finals elimination game and showed why the Suns plan to keep him for the season beyond his second 10-day contract.
He wore a padded right shoulder brace and took one perimeter shot grudgingly but immediately hurt Denver with his driving ability.
“I still have trouble to put it up,” Barbosa said. “My shot that I shot on the 3-pointer, I couldn’t follow through because I was a little tight. But you know that my game is that if I can get to the hole, I’m going. I want to be aggressive. That’s the reason they brought me here.”
