Nowitzki in Books with 10,000 Career Rebounds

Turned out, (Dirk) Nowitzki was just warming up. He finished the night with 15 points and 13 rebounds. He also crossed the 10,000-rebound mark (with 10,004), becoming only the seventh player with 27,000 points and 10,000 rebounds.
“That’s pretty unbelievable,” Nowitzki said. “I came here when I was 20, probably the worst 7-foot rebounder in the league at the time. I still wouldn’t say I’m a great rebounder, but I learned how to use my length some.
“I got to be a decent rebounder. I was almost prouder of that than the points I scored.”
