New Orleans native Robert Pack will be joining Alvin Gentry’s staff as an assistant, league sources said Tuesday afternoon.
Although Pack has yet to sign a contract with the Pelicans, a source said, but a verbal agreement has been reached.
Pack is expected to work with the guards. Pack graduated from Lawless in 1987 and spent two years at Tyler Junior College before playing at Southern Cal. Pack, a point guard, played in the NBA from 1991 to 2004.
