Kings center DeMarcus Cousins appears to have recovered enough from viral meningitis to return for Thursday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks in Sacramento, Calif.

Cousins has practiced with the Kings for the past few days and his status was upgraded from questionable to probable. He’s expected to see limited minutes.

The 6-foot-10 Cousins is averaging 23.5 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots for the Kings this season.

Since Cousins was sidelined, the Kings have posted a 2-8 record. Coach Michael Malone was fired on Sunday night and replaced by assistant Tyrone Corbin.

The Kings will be without forwards Reggie Evans (bruised left knee and hip) and Omri Casspi (bruised left knee) for Thursday’s game.
