Charles Mitchell isn’t leaving the ACC after departing Maryland following the season.
Mitchell was granted immediate eligibility Friday to play this season at Georgia Tech, a source with direct knowledge said.
The 6-foot-8 Mitchell, a native of Marietta, Georgia, was granted the waiver to be closer to his family. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution had reported earlier in the summer he wanted to be near his ailing grandmother.
