Sources: Markelle Fultz Back in Philadelphia to Continue Shoulder Rehab

Guard Markelle Fultz has returned to Philadelphia to continue his shoulder rehabilitation with the Sixers, league sources tell ESPN. No timetable yet on a return to the lineup. He’s attending Sixers-Thunder game today.

Fultz has been undergoing therapy for thoracic outlet syndrome in Los Angeles since leaving the Sixers in early December. Sixers have had staff in California observing progress, and now Fultz will work at team’s facility to try to ramp up for an eventual return to the season.

Carmelo Anthony says he was prepared to walk away from the NBA if the Portland Trail Blazers hadn’t called and offered him a roster spot last month.

“I was ready to walk away, yeah,” Anthony said. “It was hard. But there came a point when I was, like, ‘You know what? I’ve given a lot to this game. I played 15, 16 years in this game. I’m ready to give it up, because I just knew that at that point in time from a basketball standpoint, that narrative that it — it was already out there. So I’d been fightin’ an uphill battle anyway if I didn’t go to the right situation.”

Wizards center Thomas Bryant has been diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right foot.

Bryant was evaluated today after experiencing pain in his foot following the team’s game at the Los Angeles Clippers on Dec. 1. He will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

The Memphis Grizzlies today provided a medical update on forward Brandon Clarke:

In the first half of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Clarke aggravated a sore left oblique muscle and did not return for the second half. Clarke did not dress for Monday’s game against the Indiana Pacers and is considered week-to-week. Further updates will be provided as appropriate.
