HEAT’s Ray Allen Mulling Over Retirement
(Ray) Allen wasn’t saying what he will do, though he tip-toed to the edge of retiring.
“I’ve had a great career,” he said. I’m content with what I’ve done. It’s hard to think past this moment.”
Allen said he would decide over the new few days what to do. At 39 next year, the end of this season might play into his decision.
“One thing is for certain, to (decide to retire or not) on my terms is the most important thing,” Allen said. “Whether that is me retiring, staying here or going somewhere else it will be on my terms. I’ve made it to this point and I felt great that I have the choice to make it for myself.”
