The Washington Wizards announced that forward Martell Webster had successful surgery today to repair the labrum and damaged cartilage in his right hip.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Thomas Byrd in Nashville, TN. Webster, who has not appeared in a game this season due to the injury, is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
