“In three years of coaching him, I never saw him take off one second of any drill,” says Danny Henderson, who coached (Marcus) Smart in high school. “How can there be better leadership than that? When your best player is your hardest worker, there is no better leadership.”

Orlando Magic executives love Smart’s intangibles. They value his leadership, toughness and competitiveness so much that they might select him fourth overall in the 2014 NBA Draft on June 26.
