Suns Sign Barbosa for Remainder of Season
The Phoenix Suns announced today that they have signed guard Leandro Barbosa through the remainder of the 2013-14 season. The 31-year-old Barbosa has appeared in nine games with Phoenix this season over the course of two 10-day contracts, averaging 8.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 21.4 minutes. Barbosa came off the bench to score a season-high 21 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, in 30 minutes of action at New York on Jan. 13.
