NBA Draft Prospects
2015 NBA Draft: Dakari Johnson
Basketball Insiders’ scouting report on Dakari Johnson.
Dakari Johnson – 6’11, 263 lbs. Center (Kentucky, So.)
Strengths: A throwback center who loves scoring with his back to the basket. Has good footwork in the low post and plays well off of contact. Good touch for someone of his size. Solid rebounder with lots of length.
Weaknesses: Lacks great athleticism and speed. Not much of a shot blocker. Projects to be primarily a backup; doesn’t appear to have the upside, or endurance, of a full-time starter.
Yannis’ NBA Comparison: Nazr Mohammed
Anonymous Coach’s NBA Comparison: Kendrick Perkins
Draft range projection: Mid-to-late second round
