When (Dwight) Howard signed with the Rockets in July, he said his goal was to help them become a championship-caliber team. After earning the fourth seed in the Western Conference and home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs, the Rockets’ dreams of a title run are dwindling for most.
“I told the guys we need to stay away from all the negativity,” Howard said. “We need to stay focused and positive and ignore all the noise around us. I’ve been here before. It’s not over.”
