After a summer of rumors of trade destinations and a rift with teammate Josh Smith, big man Greg Monroe said he cleared the air and dismissed the rift rumor as “lies.”
Smith said Sunday that there was no need.
Smith had nothing but good things to say about Monroe and hoped the season works out well for the impending free agent.
“We’re just going to continue to work, be in a positive, energetic environment,” Smith said. “I wish nothing but the best for Greg. I hope he gets what he’s looking for. If we’re succeeding as a team, I don’t see where he wouldn’t get his money.”
