Kevin Durant to Return Within 1-2 Weeks

Kevin Durant will return to play in “a week or two,” Thunder coach Scott Brooks said Wednesday.

“He’s progressing,” Brooks said. “We evaluated him today and expect him to return within a week, a week or two weeks.”

Durant had a minor procedure on his right foot Feb. 22 to help reduce soreness caused by a screw inserted in October’s surgery to repair a Jones fracture. The screw was rubbing against a different bone, causing extreme discomfort for Durant, so it was replaced with a new one. The original fracture, though, is healing “excellently,” according to Thunder general manager Sam Presti.
