The season-long injury woes continue for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The latest casualty is guard Xavier Henry. The Lakers announced Saturday night that Henry suffered a torn ligament in his left wrist during Friday night’s game against the Washington Wizards in Los Angeles.

Henry is scheduled for an examination on Monday with a hand specialist. It is uncertain how long he will be sidelined. Henry missed 28 games with a right knee injury before returning on March 3.

The 23-year-old Henry scored 12 points in 23 minutes against the Wizards on Friday night. He is averaging 10.1 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in his first year with the Lakers after two seasons with New Orleans.

The Lakers’ long injury list this season includes veteran guards Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash.
