Mavericks Fall to 0-3 After Loss to Houston

Dirk Nowitzki must not be the only member of the Dallas Mavericks who feels sick to his stomach. The stomach bug Nowitzki has been battling for days won again, forcing him to be a late scratch and miss his second consecutive game.
The Mavs lost again, this time in gut-wrenching fashion after fighting to get back into the game following a horrendous first half. James Harden’s game-winning free throw with a tenth of a second remaining sealed the Mavs’ 93-92 loss to the Houston Rockets. Dallas’ defensive performance in the second half might be considered a moral victory, but the Mavs felt queasy leaving the Toyota Center with an 0-3 record.
