Kobe Bryant opened his postgame press conference with a joke on Tuesday: “That was beautiful basketball.” The Los Angeles Lakers’ star was kidding, of course, after his team’s 103-91 loss to the previously winless Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center, where Bryant shot an abysmal 7 of 26 from the field, including 4 of 17 from 3-point range.

“Yeah, there’s going to be some games like that that you’re just going to live and die with it,” Lakers coach Byron Scott said of Bryant’s shooting.
