Bucks’ Rookie Jabari Parker: ‘I have to grow up’
Picked No. 2 overall in the 2014 draft, (Jabari) Parker, who played a year at Duke, is in the embryonic stage of trying to turn the Milwaukee Bucks around. It’s a project that could take years, but Parker has a firm grasp of where he is and what he needs to work on.
“It’s been all right,’’ Parker said. “I have to grow up. That’s what this is, more responsibility, which will keep me in balance. It’s been a real big learning curve for me. But I have to learn to play this game.
“I’m getting comfortable. Just learning a little more and getting adjusted to the spot that I’m playing. Ever since high school, that’s where [the spotlight] started. It helped me find the person I am and keep me balanced within the team.’’
