Celtics waive Douglas-Roberts
A week after acquiring guard Chris Douglas-Roberts in a trade, the Boston Celtics waived him, the team announced Sunday.
The Celtics got Douglas-Roberts from the Los Angeles Clippers in the three-team deal that sent guard Austin Rivers to Los Angeles. Boston also received Shavlik Randolph from Phoenix.
Douglas-Roberts is signed for the minimum, so some team might pick him up.
Douglas-Roberts averaged 1.6 points and 8.6 minutes in the 12 games he played for the Clippers this season.
