Playing in his first game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse since he took a gargantuan pay cut to join the Spurs in free agency last summer, David West said he harbors no second thoughts about discarding a fortune.
Asked if it was worth leaving behind $11 million from the Pacers to join the Spurs in pursuit of his first championship, the rugged forward said without hesitation, “Probably more. … It’s been everything to me.”
