Heat recall Napier, Whiteside
The Miami Heat recalled guard Shabazz Napier and center Hassan Whiteside from the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League on Monday.
Napier appeared in one game with the Skyforce, recording 22 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal. He has appeared in 23 games with the Heat this season, averaging 5.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 21.4 minutes while shooting 42.9 percent from the field.
Whiteside appeared in one game with the Skyforce and posted a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double while blocking four shots and dishing out two assists. He was originally signed by Miami on Nov. 24 and has appeared in three games with the Heat this season totaling six points, four rebounds and a block in nine minutes while shooting a perfect 3-of-3 from the field.
Both helped the Skyforce beat the Iowa Energy 124-105 on Saturday. They will be available for the Heat’s game at Brooklyn on Tuesday night.
