Los Angeles Lakers guard/forward Kent Bazemore underwent successful surgery to repair the torn peroneus longus tendon in his right foot, the team announced Wednesday.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Kenneth Hunt of the Stanford University Medical School. Bazemore is expected to make a full recovery by the start of the 2014-15 season.

Bazemore was injured April 6 in a 120-97 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

In 23 games (15 starts) with the Lakers after being acquired from the Golden State Warriors at the trade deadline on Feb. 19, Bazemore averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 28.0 minutes per game.

In that time, Bazemore set single-game career marks in points (23), assists (8), rebounds (7), steals (6x) and field goals made (9), while leading the team in minutes played six times.

The Lakers can make Bazemore a restricted free agent this summer with a $1.1-million qualifying offer.
