Pelicans’ Anthony Davis Injures Shoulder

Pelicans All-Star Anthony Davis hurt his right shoulder on a hard fall in which he struggled to brace himself after an alley-oop dunk late in the first half of Saturday night’s 107-72 loss to the Chicago Bulls, and he did not return.

Davis was diagnosed with a right shoulder contusion. X-rays were negative.

Davis’ arm was tucked in a sling after the loss. Williams said the extent of the injury might not be known until Sunday, when he was expected to be examined further.
