Stevens: Lineup Changes Could Be Coming Soon
With the Celtics having lost six of their last seven games and Brad Stevens seeking viable combinations, especially in the fourth quarter, the coach told the Globe on Saturday that he’s considering lineup changes for Sunday’s matchup with the San Antonio Spurs.
The subject of the change could be center Kelly Olynyk, who has been mired in a two-week slump.
“I’m not dead set on them yet,” Stevens said. “There’s a chance that I will make lineup changes. The way that I look at it, it’s temporary, because I really look at the guys that are in that starting lineup as guys that we need to play well for us to be good. I don’t look at it as long-term changes.”
When asked if Olynyk could be involved in the changes, Stevens said, “He would be one. But hey, we’re 4-9, so we’ve all got to play well. That certainly is an option.”
