The Australian Boomers won’t be saddling (Utah Jazz) NBA draft pick Dante Exum with high expectations in their FIBA World Cup campaign.
The Boomers begin their tournament against Slovenia in Gran Canaria, Spain on Sunday morning and coach Andrej Lemanis is expected to bring Exum off the bench, charging his young star with using his speed and athleticism to make an impact.
Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Matthew Dellavedova and either Besiktas swingman Ryan Broekhoff or Gran Canaria guard Brad Newley are expected to start in the guard positions.
