The Golden State Warriors reached an agreement to extend the contract of general manager Bob Myers through 2017-2018, according to reports.

Myers’ contract was set to expire at the end of next season.

Myers, 39, has been the Warriors’ GM since April 2012. The Warriors have reached the playoffs the past two seasons, with the team built around All-Star point guard Stephen Curry.

Myers and co-owner Joe Lacob oversaw the firing of Warriors coach Mark Jackson and the hiring of Steve Kerr this offseason.

—The Indiana Pacers signed free agents C.J. Fair, Arinze Onuaku, Chris Singleton and Adonis Thomas.

Fair is a 6-foot-8 rookie forward out of Syracuse who played on the 2014 Dallas Mavericks’ summer league team.

Onuaku is a 6-9 second-year forward, also out of Syracuse, who played for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2013-14 season.

Singleton is a fourth-year, 6-9 forward out of Florida State. He played all three seasons of his NBA career with the Washington Wizards. Thomas is a 6-7 forward who played at Memphis.

—NBA commissioner Adam Silver expects legalized sports betting to be expanded in the United States and said Thursday the league would be willing to be part of it.

Silver said he understands that sports betting could bring additional revenue to bolster the revenue of some struggling states, and also benefit the NBA.

Silver’s view is different from predecessor David Stern, who allowed the NBA in 2012 to join a lawsuit with the NCAA, NFL, MLB and NHL to halt New Jersey’s attempt to bring legalized sports betting to casinos and racetracks in the state.
