Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker saw his rookie season come to a premature end Tuesday when he was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

ESPN first announced the diagnosis, and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that an anonymous source confirmed the story. According to Yahoo Sports, Parker told teammates he tore his ACL.

Parker, 19, was carried off the floor during the third quarter of Monday’s game against the Suns in Phoenix. His knee buckled and he fell to the ground in pain without contact.

Parker, the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft after playing one season at Duke, started all 25 games for the Bucks this season. A Rookie of the Year candidate, he averaged 12.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 25 games.
