Bruno Caboclo got a New Year’s Day promotion, as the Toronto Raptors recalled the forward from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League.
Caboclo appeared briefly in three games for Toronto earlier in the season, compiling a total of eight points, two rebounds and one blocked shot in 15 minutes.
In three D-League games, Caboclo produced averages of 4.3 points, 27.7 rebounds and 13 minutes. He scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked two shots Dec. 27 during his debut for Fort Wayne.
The 19-year-old Brazilian was the 20th overall selection in the 2014 draft. He played in his native country last year, putting up 4.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for Pinheiros/Sky.
