Paul George finished with 33 points, his running mate, C.J. Miles cashed in 24 and these final numbers compared nicely to their contemporaries, Stephen Curry (29) and Klay Thompson (39). And while those totals as well as scoring 123 points seem like a nice parting gift, a night with the champs left the Pacers facing their inadequacies and abandoning that little joke about being the ‘East Coast Splash Brothers.’

“We got to be real with ourselves. We’re not the Golden State Warriors. We have to come to that,” George said. “We’re not trying to mimic them. I think their style of play is what we want to be like. We want to spread the floor and have guys be able to make plays on the perimeter, but we don’t have the personnel they have.”
