Report: Musselman interviews for Cal job

Arizona State assistant coach Eric Musselman recently interviewed for the vacant Cal coaching job, the Associated Press reported Saturday.
Musselman, who has coached in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, met with athletic director Sandy Barbour.
Mike Montgomery retired earlier this month after six seasons as Cal’s coach.
Musselman, 49, spent the past two seasons as an assistant at Arizona State. He coached the Warriors from 2002-04. He then spent two seasons as an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies before coaching the Kings in the 2006-07 season.
Before coaching in the NBA, Musselman went 270-122 during seven years coaching the Continental Basketball Association’s Florida Beach Dogs.
Since 2010, Musselman has coached the Reno Big Horns and Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Development League, and the Dominican Republic and Venezuelan national teams.
Cal, which went 21-14 this season, is also considering UC Irvine coach Russell Turner and Cal assistant Travis DeCuire.
